Mary Brown

Mary Margaret Jacobs Brown was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on July 24, 1924, to the parents of Sydney and Rosa Jacobs. She was the eighth child of eleven children; Allen, Julia, Henry, Alfred, Sydney, George, Bessie, Corrine, Rosa Mae and Grace. (not in specific order)

Mary was the wife of Lonnie J, Brown for forty-nine years. She was the mother of one son, Edward Lonnie Brown and his wife Linda (Deceased). Three grandchildren, Tegree, Marvin and Tamura; Marvin’s wife Michele; and five great-grandchildren; Children of Tegree Alethea Brown Charles King:

Mary was a retired employee for the Samuel Goldwin Movie Studios and resided in Ontario, California for over the last 30 years.

While living in Louisiana she served as a volunteer parent in Saint James School Cafeteria. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Peter Claver and served as recording secretary for eight years. She also was a successful business owner of the popular night club: “The White Swan”.
