Max Gutierrez

He was born on September 6, 1940, to parents Clara and Phillip Gutierrez. He was one of ten siblings and grew up in Ontario, California.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, to whom he was married for 63 years; daughters Donna, Armida, and Carol; and eight grandchildren Taylor, Karina, Shelby, Avery, Andrew, Emma, Lily, and Connor.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa (affectionally known to his grandkids as “Papo”).

He spent 30 years working for the County of San Bernardino and spent his remaining years retired, happily grandparenting, and enjoying the life he built for himself and his family.

Max was a kind, outgoing, and loyal man who had an amazing ability to make people feel welcomed and accepted. He was a beloved member of the community and will be greatly missed.
