Born in Merrill, Wisconsin, he was the son of Leslie F. Saeger and Nina L. Guthnecht. He had a Masters degree in Education from Cal State Los Angeles. He also attended seminary at Concordia School of Theology in Springfield, Illinois. He served at many of the local churches after his retirement in 1990 as pastor, mentor, and spiritual leader. He touched many lives in his 70+ years in the service of our Lord.
He is survived by his two children, David and Diane, his 6 grandchildren: Jennifer, Alan, Kristi, Kimberly, Bobby and Crystal and his two great-grandchildren; Luke and Samantha. He was predeceased by his oldest Son Dale and his wife of 69 years Grace Sophie Saeger.
The memorial service will be held at a private ceremony. Flower arrangements or plants can be sent to Draper Mortuary by Monday January 2nd.
