Michael Roy Barbe, 47, entered into rest on October 5, 2026. Born on August 20, 1979, in Seoul, South Korea, and raised by Joe and Theresa Jarema, Michael brought warmth, quiet strength, and steadfast loyalty to everyone who knew him. He made his home in Chino Hills, California, where he built a meaningful life centered entirely around the people he loved.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a tour of duty in Iraq. The discipline and integrity that defined his military service carried into his professional career, where he earned deep respect and lasting friendships as a dedicated Senior Distribution Designer.
His life found its greatest purpose and joy in the summer of 2010, when he met his wife, Sasha, while working for Verizon. What began as a simple service call blossomed into a deep, enduring partnership. Michael was a fiercely devoted husband and proud father whose proudest accomplishment was always his family.
Those who knew Michael best will forever remember his gentle nature, his genuine smile, and his steady presence. He embraced life through simple pleasures, cherishing quiet afternoons playing games, hiking trails, and taking in the beauty of the ocean. Michael loved watching the latest Marvel, Disney, and Pixar films with his family, exploring all kinds of delicious foods and sweet treats together, and filling the room with the timeless music of Queen and Billy Joel. Above all, he showed up for the people who mattered most, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unbreakable devotion.
Michael is survived by Sasha Barbe, Jennifer Barbe-Flores, Samanthe Barbe-Flores, Mia Barbe, Logan Barbe, and Arya Barbe.
