Michele “Mickie-Mic” Erin Frelix
August 19, 1984 – June 22, 2023
Mickie was born August 19, 1984, and was 38 years old at the time of her passing on June 22, 2023, at her home in Corona, CA. Michele went to sleep only to wake up in the Arms of our Lord and Savior in his kingdom. What wonder and beauty to experience his great love for her.
Michele was born in Fayetteville NC during the time her father was Stationed at Fort Bragg NC as a Parrot trooper of the 82nd Airborne Division in 1984. We returned to California a year after her birth and resided in Carson CA and then in Fountain Valley CA.
Michele was a precious and a precocious child. Tiny in stature though her full head of curls made her look taller than what she was. Mickie was very bright and read books at a very young age of 3. She rather read then play with toys for the first 10 years of her life – so it was hard to gage what kind of toys she liked to play with when Christmas rolled around… she always kept us guessing.
Mic graduated from Fountain Valley High school in 2002 and was a formidable Water Polo athlete – she was a strong swimmer a champion competitor and a fierce teammate who loved her team. Michele received her Associates and Bachelor degree in 2018-2019 respectively - where she studied Gerontology and the care for the elderly. – she always said – “someone’s going to have to take care of my old mom at some point” she was caring like that… she also earned other designations, awards, and other recognitions at the end of her educational path. Michele and her boyfriend Joe Ferraro had a son - Zayne Alexander in 2012 and she spent most of her time raising Zayne - working in between time, spending time with her crafts which she truly enjoyed as well as spending time with family. Michele was a loving mother, a precious daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, and friend. I have been so blessed to have spent so much time with my daughter throughout this year. There are no regrets.
Michele is survived by her son Zayne Ferraro, her Mother Martha Peoples (Ricky), her Father Mark Frelix Sr, her brother Mark Frelix Jr (Ana), her Nieces Celest, Lilliana and Genevieve and her nephew Dominic. She is also survived by her Aunt Margaret Hammond (Doug), Mary Supnet, and Uncle Marnie Supnet (Mylene) - her 1st Cousins, Anthony (Sarinah 2nd cousin), Reakel (William), Cesar III (Cesar IV 2nd cousin) and Andrew.
Though Michele’s life was a moment on this earth – she touched many lives in love and kindness and warmed us with her big infectious smile – She left her mark with each of us in her own special way - as God intended. Michele will be greatly missed by all.
A Memorial Service for Michele will be held on July 25th from 11-12 & a Memory Celebration will be held from 12-1 at Draper Mortuary - 811 N. Mountain Ave., Ontario CA 91762
