I think of you often especially since your sister is with you now. I miss you both so much that there are times that I dont know whether to laugh or cry at the memories. When you left grandma she missed you so much that she had to follow. She only stayed long enough to see my first grandchild and to give him her blessings and 6 days after his birth she went forever to sleep. I pray that you, grandma, aunt jessie, uncle wilbur, and uncle frank are now together again and with others who were waiting patiently for you to come home because you know,you  and grandma both took your sweet time to get there but im sure it was worth the wait. Love and miss you both...always

My Millie, you where not only my Grandmother, but friend from my earliest memories. Your kitchen was my favorite place to be watching the cooking,baking and everything in-between I loved being the "taster". So from the kitchen to the garden where she grew the best collards, green beans,and especially the rhubarb,  I am blessed to not only know my grandmother, but for having her in my life on a regular basis. Her love of God never waivered in her actions or words and I thank her for the example of what a true servant of God should be. One of my most  precious memories is in primary sabbath school where my grandmother was my teacher who planted seeds from the word of God in my life and taught me how to love Jesus even before I accepted Him as my personal savior and that was Priceless. It brings joy to my heart just reliving all my childhood memories of Me and Millie on into adulthood. She will be in my heart and my thoughts always. I Love Millie!

Aunt Midge you were always the word of wisdom when you would come to Omaha.  I can remember sitting with you and grandma listening to you both talk about growing up,the bible, watching and debating about the news.  It would get pretty lively especially since neither one of you could really hear what each other was saying but it never stopped your weekly calls to catch up.  I'll miss hearing your voice on the line or the way you would say grandma's name in your unique way.  I am blessed to have known my great aunt and my children to have had the chance to know their great great aunt.  You and your sister have a legacy that most people could only dream about or read about in the history books. I have always talked about you and grandma especially you being 99 and her at 105, I would brag about that and the response would be "good genes" (smile).  My answer would be "they don't build them like that anymore! That comment always receives a chuckle because we all know that is true.

You will be missed but you have left a legacy that will continue on even long  after we are gone.  Love you and thank you for being our Aunt Midge the beautiful and generous woman you will always will be known to be.....goodbye and sweet dreams

You were your sisters best friend, she will miss you always but she said that she will see you again and takes comfort in that knowlege. Moma, I will miss your smile on your face everytime I came out to California to see you, you laid the ground work for me at birth and tought me everything about life and the Lord.  You said he will never leave you no matter what may come keep him in your heart and you will never be alone.  Your one wish was for all the family to get along and love each other and go to church so I plan on carring out your request with God's help.  I pray I will meet you in heaven on that great day. Crawford Family,  We go back such a long way...it is hard to believe this much time has come and gone. Now we are looking at another experience that time has brought.  You have our hearts and prayers as you journey through this time with the passing of your mom.

To you Debbie and Nancy, you know how we were coming up as kids in Parkhill so I just remind you of all the joys, experiences, fun times we had know that nothing can ever erase what God has put together of our living.  Mom was certainly a favorite of God...99 years wow.  We are with you in spirit and in truth.

You were "My Buddy", I love you and you will always be in my heart.

I cannot beging to put into words how much I love and will miss my Granny.  She was there for every major and minor milestone in my life.  She was there loving and encouraging me through every trial, quietly saying it will be ok, and reminding me to trust in Jesus to get me through.  She was there in every success, happily cheering and joyfully cebrating my victory.  In times of uncertainty she was my rock of faith.  In times when I needed a "stern talking to", she delivered never biting her tongue knowing that every word she was saying came from the love she had for me and wanting me to be the best me I can be. She taught me how to be kind, charitable, loving, and most importantly a christian.  There are so many memories and stories I would love to share, but there isn't enough room here to tell them all. One of the greatest gifts she gave me was being my daughter's first best friend, they often refer to eachother lovingly as "My Buddy", my greatest joy was watching her share the same joy I had as a child spending time with my Granny. It made me happy to know how blessed she was to have the best Great 
Granny ever to learn from.  While she may not be here to continue to learn from I will always cherish the memories from the lessons she taught me. I will always remember the way she would smile when I walked into the room and say "There's my Co," and always give me a big hug. I just thank God for giving her to me as long as he did.

I never had the opportunity to me my childrens great grandmother. May god be with her, she is a blessed lady.  I know of her because my ex-husband Wayne would always talk about his grandmother and grandfather. I will always save this facebook page and put it in my photo album so that Latrice and Gerald Jr.can know who their great grandmother and grandfather was.  Loveyou and Thank you for being born.

We would like to express our condolence to Nancy, Debra, Melba and the entire Crawford family. Mother Mildred was a wonderful person who loved everyone. She was an even greater Christian, for she loved her Lord with all heart, mind and soul, that was reflected in her character. She will be greaterly missed, especially her smile, but we all have the blessed hope of the Resurrection, when we shall see her again. Our prayers are with you all!

In 1968, Denise Dickens was “Blessed” with the Best Grandmother ever…How many individuals today can say they had the opportunity to meet, spend time with, and knew their grandparents?  Well I sure can!  I was truly blessed to have known and grew up with my grandparents.  My Grandparents laid the foundation for my life and has brought me to where I am at today and I thank God for them.  There is so much to tell you about my beautiful Grandmother “Mildred Geraldine Crawford” but definitely not enough time and space on this page.  I have a couple of funny stories of my Granny that I will never forget.  I can remember spending the summer's with my Grandmother and going to church to help her sort hand-me-down clothes at the Dorcus and when we were done she would have a bag of clothes for me to take home, which of course I did not want (smile), but at that time she was teaching me to be thankful for all the things that I received.   When I was a teenager and started to wear makeup who was there to tell me, “Stop putting on all that “war paint” and looking like Jezebel..(smile)..yes my Granny.  Lastly, when standing at the alter I could hear a voice in the audience trying to whisper, “she couldn't find any other bridesmaids..(smile) and you know who that was.  I am so thankful that she was there to see me walk across the stage to receive my High School Diploma and she was able to come visit me at every duty location around the world.  My grandmother's unconditional love and prayers have made me the person I am today.  I will miss her so much but she will forever live in my heart and I know she will be smiling down at me from Heaven.   Love Deni!
