

He was born November 24, 1934 on a farm near Westfield, North Dakota; and lived in Chino, California from 1966 until 2001, during which he was an active member of the Chino Valley Reformed Church.
Myron retired in 1996 after 30 years of service as Chief Executive Officer of Salem Christian Homes, a local charitable organization. Under his leadership, and with the support of many others, Salem became known as a leading provider of services to, and advocacy for, developmentally disabled individuals.
In retirement, Myron continued his lifetime of service; volunteering with the Council of Reformed Charities, the Visiting Nurse Association, the Salvation Army, and local food banks. He leaves a legacy of compassion and caring for those less fortunate.
Myron was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Janice, in 2002; and two brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Tony) Thomas of Palm Desert: son, Todd (Rosemary) of Chino: five granddaughters; brother, Arvin of Lynden, Washington; sister, Joyce Kuhn of Sun City West, Arizona; and sister, Mary Ann Haan of Herreid, South Dakota.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, California. A Celebration of Life service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at The Bridge Church, 12765 Oaks Avenue, Chino, California.
