I don’t even know where to begin.  As a little girl I would wonder so much about you. I would even try to imagine what you looked like and if I was like you at all?  I know that my biggest one was if you ever thought of me. When we first met I didn’t know what I really wanted other than questions. As soon as you hugged me I knew I didn’t want to lose you again. Over these past years having you in my life did make me feel complete.  At the same time I never let myself be completely vulnerable with you. I was afraid to let myself for many reasons and for that I hope that you can forgive me. At the end of the day all I wanted was your approval. For you to be proud of me. I hope I turned out to be a woman you would be proud to call your daughter. Looking at pictures of you in your younger days I see so much resemblance of my David in you. I see a lot of myself in you that I never saw before. There was so much still unsaid between us. I believe now more than ever that we both felt the same. Scared of saying the wrong things. So we just played it safe. This is my biggest regret with you. I would of done things differently. I promise you that I will be there for my brothers as long as they allow me. I will protect them and have their back. That’s just who I am. I protect the people I love ❤️ When someone I love needs my help I am there. No questions asked. From what I hear you were the same way. That day you left to heaven my heart felt like it broke into pieces. I felt like I was robbed of having you in my life once more. I know I will never get over this pain. It feels like I lost a part of me that I always wanted but never had. I pray that you are in peace and I am so happy that the last day I saw you I told you that I loved you. I meant it and forever will. It warms my heart to know that once we meet again we will get eternity with each other and we will never be apart again.🙏🤍 I miss you so much, I will always love you.

It me Paul II. So here we are now and I’m still in disbelief. I think I know what I have to do (Sometimes and sometimes I just want to crawl into a hole and cry my eyes out and not deal with the rest of the world) I’ve been so grief stricken and so angry at the same times. I often wonder how I’ll ever go on. Then I think what you would do in this situation. You’d be as heartbroken as we all are but you’d still carry on, even stronger than before. That’s your legacy. Rocky Balboa once said best “The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!” But you’ve actually went through it. You lived it. I’m going to cry and I’m going to keep crying but I refuse to allow it to keep me down as well... I love you so goddamn much. 
I am my fathers son & I’ll continue to be my fathers son and teach my sons the same.

 Remember when you used to call us a family of midgets because you were so tall and we were so short? lol  The beautiful part of you was that your heart was even bigger than your stature.  I always remember the time when you were staying with us for awhile and you got home from a party. I was watching T.V. laying on my stomach on the floor. You came up right next to me and propped yourself up on your elbows and asked what I was watching. Every time you spoke, you laughed. You said you'd had too many wine coolers.  Wine coolers always made you happy , as did your brothers and sisters, your sons, your grandson and your best friend Mike Santana.  You were a kid at heart who enjoyed family bbq's and the holidays.  Especially Halloween and Christmas.  I was looking for the perfect picture to depict you and I asked you to help me find one and I came across this one. I know it wasn't by accident.  A tender moment in time on your favorite holiday.  You may be gone from our sight, but you will forever live in our hearts.  It's my turn to tell you the words you always told me, " don't be a stranger huh?'  Please come visit me in my dreams and send me signs.  I will be looking out for them.  Thank you for always looking out for me.  For taking me out as a kid and doing your best to show me a good time.  Some of my best childhood memories are because of you.    See you later  and say hi to my nana for me.  I'm sure she's whipped you up some of your favorite mole by now.  I am jealous!  ;)  Sending hugs up to heaven.
