Happy Birthday Dad,

It’s been over 10 years and it still crushes me that I can’t come see you or talk to you. My wife Jordan and I are having a baby girl who’s due in February. I wish I could see her having all the memories with her grandpa that I myself cherish from my childhood like going fishing, playing sports, learning to shoot, and everything else. As I’ve gotten older, I can’t help but see in myself a lot of who I remember you to be. Some of my best qualities are yours, and I hope to pass them on to your granddaughter. You would adore Jordan. We talk about you all the time. She plans on getting me a Budweiser today to drink in your memory, even though she can’t join me. We did, indeed, crack open a couple of tall cans for you at our wedding and there was a seat reserved for you. I’ll never be able to fully express how much I miss you. Love you forever.

It’s a strange thing to miss someone you’ve never met, but as I’m getting ready to marry your son I find myself missing you and the memories we could’ve made together as a family. I know that so much of you has made Nick who he is, and for that I’m so grateful. He’s told me stories of how protective you were of what was right, and he emanates that quality perfectly. I think we would’ve gotten along really well, and I know for a fact you’d be beyond proud of the man and the husband that your son has become. He truly is the best. I wish you could be here, but I know your spirit is and will be. I will make damn sure to crack a cold one in your honor on our wedding day. Thank you for watching over us… until we get to meet one day.

Robert...Maggi has been my closest friend for many years so I know how very much she loves you.  You mean everything to her...you are her heart!  You left this earth and everyone who loves you far too soon, but you can be sure that your spirit lives on in the hearts of your family and friends.  You left a part of yourself behind in your wonderful son Nicholas ... he has been a Godsend to Maggi, without him she may not have made it through the pain.  Your mom is a strong person, you know that Robert, but she needs you to watch over her.  You will be missed by many, including me. See you on the flip side!

I miss you. It's 2am, I can't sleep. All I want to do is talk to my big brother. It's been 2 weeks. It's always going to feel like it happened yesterday. I love you soooo much. I wish it didn't have to be this way.

My dear, sweet big brother. I can't believe I'm typing these words. I'm losing my brother, my protector, my very best friend in life. You were always there. You loved me,  helped me, let me be me. You taught me so much about life. I can't even begin to express how much I'm going to miss you. My heart aches. You aren't supposed to leave me.    As I remanise back to the fun & bonding times we shared, it makes me smile, warms my heart & soothes my soul...thank you for taking/making the time for us to just chill, talk & connect spiritually, thus gaining a true friend that has left a beautiful imprint that will forever remain in my heart, as well as my soul.
