

Roy Benjamin Hall, 85, of Rancho Cucamonga, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on May 22,1939 in Logan, Ohio to Lyle and Margaret Hall. A beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather, Roy will always be remembered for his work ethic and his ability to find value in anyone he met.
Roy lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to his family and friends. He was known for his funny sense of humor, warm smile and kind heart. He spent 40+ years as an entrepreneur in Big Bear running Hall’s Chicken House, Hall’s Muffler Shop, and Hall’s Donut Kitchen as well as a fabricator and inventor. Beyond his career, Roy had a passion for restoring old cars into hot rods, water ski racing, and was a creative artist. Roy joined the US Navy in 1957 as a Seaman/ Fireman Apprentice and served on the USS Brown Destroyer DD546. He was honorably discharged in 1960.
Above all, he cherished his family. Roy is survived by his wife of 67 years Bitsy Hall. Two children, daughter Kym and, her husband, Tim McCasland and son Dennis and, his wife, Jackie Hall. Six grandchildren Cooper, Kaliey (her husband Chase), Cody, Bailey (her husband James), Shannon and Brody. Three great-grandchildren Barrett, Abigail, and Levi. He also leaves behind countless family members that loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held on February 20th at 11am at St. Peter & St. Paul Catholic Church in Rancho Cucamonga and will be followed by a luncheon at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Folds of Honor or Wounded Warriors.
Roy will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love and joy he brought into the lives of so many.
