Born Sandra Jean Jackson on September 29,1942 in Asbury Park New Jersey, the second of three daughters born to Ida Margaret and Herbert Jackson.
Sandy grew up in Little Rock Arkansas, graduating from Little Central High School in 1960. She moved to California in1965, settling in Chino in 1972 where she resided until her passing.
Sandy sold real estate for many years at Lee Alves Realty before working as the regional secretary at Winchell’s before ending her career with San Bernardino County first in probation and ending in the Planning Department.
Not ready to fully retire, Sandy along with her husband Ray worked at Hickory Farms in the winter and at their favorite campground, Silent Valley for many summers. They also sold Avon and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for several years. She loved driving the tram car around showing off her little tidbits of knowledge. She loved to tell anyone who would listen stories of their adventures in their RV, bragging that they had “wheels on the ground” in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. If they weren’t in the RV they were going on a cruise. Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal and the “big” cruise to Tahiti and Bora Bora.
Sandy is survived by her husband Ray Keser. Her children John Tyra (Paula) and Penny Flanigan (Dean). Stepson Fred Keser (Cindy). With a combined family she was blessed with more grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren than she could count. Her sisters and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Jack Arnold.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in her name to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research MichaelJFox.org
