Shirley Cashen

Shirley left us on December 13, 2011 , in Hemet, CA, to be with her family that preceded her in death. Shirley was born August 28, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan. She resided in Hemet CA for the last 19 years and was married to the love of her life, Mick Cashen for 46 years until his death. She worked a total of 25 years in school nutrition at Margarita Elementary, Montclair, CA and Bullard Elementary, Bullard, TX. She loved working around children and sometimes helped them out with their lunches. Shirley loved watching major league baseball, working in her garden of roses and flowers. Most of all she loved being with her children. There was always a smile on her face when she was surrounded by her family. She had a gentle and kind soul that well be missed by all who knew her, always helping her family out no matter what it was. Unconditional love was her way of life for her children, her tenderness and joy will live in our hearts forever. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Mary Crawford and son-in-law Tommy Crawford. Daughter, Judy Cabrera and son-in-law, John Cabrera. Son, Kevin Cashen and daughter-in-law, Leslie Cashen. A brother Chan Wiltse. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by husband, Mick Cashen, sons, Pat Cashen, Mike Cashen and Danny Cashen. Services will be December 21, 2011 at 1pm at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Ave., Ontario, CA. With burial following. Celebration place of Shirley's life will be announced after services.
