

Steven Davis died June 15, 2023, at the age of 73, in the company of close family. He was born July 2, 1949 on the dining room table of his parents’ home in Lincoln, Nebraska, the first of three children born to Marvin and Marjorie Davis.
The family moved to California when Steve was 7 years old and settled in Chatsworth in 1958. Steve grew up playing little league baseball, lettered in track in high school and trained in Okinawa-Te karate. After graduation from Chatsworth High School, Steve joined and served in the Army being stationed in Thailand and Washington. After military service, he completed the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy program and began a career in law enforcement of over 25 years working for both the County and for Hawaiian Gardens Police Department. He finished his career applying his experience in executive bank security.
Steven was a fun-loving, outgoing, and beloved friend, brother, father, and grandfather who will be remembered for his personal warmth, sense of humor, and affection for friends and family. He was an avid athlete, running hurdles in high school and pursuing a love of running, hiking, and tennis throughout his life. He enjoyed photography, loved his dogs, and was a first-rate marksman.
Steve was married twice and is survived by his son, Jason, and his grandchildren, Joshua, Mercy, Lucy, and Samuel, along with his stepsons John and David. He served his country, his community, and his family over the course of his fruitful life and will be greatly missed by the many who knew him and loved him.
