OBITUARY

Teresa Ortiz Viveros

Teresa Ortiz Viveros of Upland, California has passed away from natural causes in her home, as was her wish, after having lived a full life. She was 89 at the time of her death. Teresa was born in Upland, CA on Bowen Avenue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco, "Frank" Viveros who, together with Teresa made their home in Upland after they married in 1956. Teresa was also preceded in death by brothers Eloy Ortiz and Santiago Ortiz. She is survived by her sisters: Esperanza Hernandez, Juana Venegas, Margaret Jimenez, Emily Vela, and Maria Rojo. Teresa is also survived by her only daughter, Rebecca Ortiz Viveros and grandchildren Aaron Viveros and Victoria Mageno. She was also very dear to five great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces, and many god-children who lovingly referred to her as Nina. She began working at Upland Lemon Growers at the age of 15 and worked there for over 15 years. She also worked for Neward's Enterprises and finally retired from Baxter Pharmaceuticals in her sixties.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Draper Mortuary in Ontario from 3pm to 7pm. Religious Services will be there on Thursday at 11:00 am. Cemetery will be directly following moring services at Draper's to her final resting place at Bellevue Cemetery off Mountain Ave.

Teresa Viveros was a woman with a good heart. She helped my family in our time of need. She helped us get our lives started again after her primo Federico Ortiz ( my dad) had past away prematurely. We owe a great deal to her and her family. Thank you for everything, may you rest in peace.
