

Vivian Smith Jarvis born October 17, 1925 in Corona, California passed away August 31, 2015 in Long Beach, California. She was 89. Her daughter Sandra, “Sam”, was by her side as she took her last breath and entered into heaven to be with her other family and friends.
She loved her family and her country with all her heart! During WWII she served her country as a civilian staff car driver at the military base located in Ontario. She was always proud of that!
After marrying Floyd Jarvis she would go to work for General Electric, both the Iron Plant downtown Ontario and the Aircraft at the Ontario Airport, she would complete 40+ years there. There was never a job she didn’t think she could do!
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra “Sam” Jarvis Upton (Patrick), two daughters-in-law, Judy Jarvis Malnar (Tom) and Joni Jarvis; One brother, Jimmy Smith (Celeta) and one sister, Lela Faye Smith; Seven Grandchildren, Scott (Tiffany), Greg (Nikki), Chris (Christa) and Chad Jarvis. Eric, Matt (Summer) Upton and Ande Upton Siler (Josh); Also survived by Nine Great- Grandchildren, Justin, Curtis, Emily, Anne, Charlie, Jake, Julia, and Emma Jarvis and Judah Siler.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, James "Floyd" Jarvis and son Larry Jarvis; her brothers Gene, Ray, and Jay Smith.
She will be laid to rest Thursday, September 10th at Bellevue Cemetery, the memorial will precede this at Drapers Mortuary, 11am service.
