

He was born in the Province of Canton, China in the village of Kaiping Came to the United States 1952.
Had Four Children: Phillip, Kelvin, Marvin and Malene. One daughter in law, Ann and a son in law, Jim. He is survived by his children, former wife Karen and two brothers, Chung and Tom.
Wing Lee owned and operated the Jade Palace, Phoenix and the On Luck restaurants. He was a self taught Chef and made the best Chinese food in the Pomona Valley Area. He was a kind and giving person. No one would ever go hungry around him. For the holidays, If you did not have anywhere to go or anyone to be with he would just say" Come by and eat" and people did from all walks of life. People would come and enjoy his wonderful food. He treated everyone the same, whether you were living out of your car to the vice president of the Dodgers (Fred Clair). He truly loved people. He was a very loving and giving father Always working, 6 to 7 days a week day and night. In those days there were no short cuts he made everything from scratch. I don't think he would have taken any short cuts even if he could. To this day people tell me that they can not find Chinese food as good as my dad's.
He lived in Montclair for over 50 years. He was the kind of neighbor you would love to have. He was always giving someone something or helping someone. Whether it was just a hello, fruit from his fruit trees, or if you were lucky, some of his good cooking. He was a one of a kind man and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
