Yan Iskandar

Mr.Yan Iskandar (Oei Hian Seng) was born in Padang, Indonesia on September 11, 1942, from his parents: Paulus Kusnadi (Oei Hian San) and Agnes Lie (Lie Siauw Nio). In his childhood he experienced joy and sorrows. He experienced hardships in his life, that he ever lived on the public street (in front of the store), because his house was burned down. Even though He has to deal with many struggles, amazingly, he was able to complete his Bachelor Degree at Parahyangan University, Bandung, Indonesia.

On April 3, 1975 Mr.Yan Iskandar married to Mrs.Rasuh Bernadeth Clara Johanna (Dee) and they were blessed with 4 children (Edward, Inge, Imelda, Paul). Mr.Yan Iskandar worked for 30 years at the Pertamina oil company . He translated so many Christian books. He also a Pastor at GBI Cibunar Church in Indonesia.

In 2014, He and his wife moved to USA. Throughout his life, he showed us how how much he loves God. As his health start to decline, Mr.Yan never complaint and he always say that God is good in his life. His hobby is playing chess, he really likes durian fruit and his favorite food is fried rice.

On April 3, 2024 Mr Yan and Mrs. Dee just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary through video call from the nursing home. On April 10, 2024 at 10:00 am, Mr.Yan Iskandar returned to his father's house peacefully at Loma Linda Hospital.
