Agnes lived a life filled with determination, strength, and unwavering faith. She worked tirelessly as a successful businesswoman in the real estate industry for over 50 years, holding licenses in both Florida and Ohio. Known for her incredible work ethic, Agnes was a true pioneer in her field, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Alongside her career in real estate, Agnes was a proud Christian woman whose faith guided her every step. Her belief in God was the foundation of her life, and she was known for her strong faith and dedication to sharing the gospel. She would often buy Bibles from Jimmy Swaggart Ministries to be passed out, spreading the Word wherever she felt it was most needed. Agnes was deeply involved in her community, supporting causes like the Boys and Girls Club and the Wounded Warrior Project with her contributions.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Agnes owned and operated an amusement company for many years, traveling the eastern United States to attend county and state fairs. She loved the joy and excitement of these events, and her passion for bringing happiness to others was evident in everything she did. Outside of work, Agnes found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, which she enjoyed throughout the years. Agnes’s greatest joy, however, was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. Agnes’s legacy of hard work, faith, love, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She leaves behind her son, Randy Young (Sue); grandchildren, Eric Travis Young (Stacey), Ryan Alan Young (Jon), Jason Young; five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Oscar "Bud" Spencer, Kenneth Alan Spencer, James Gary Spencer, Virginia Sue Langley; and many nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gene Young; her parents, Hurston and Irene Spencer; her son, Michael Gene Young; and siblings, Tracker Free-Man and Mangeline Fields.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 24, 2025, at 100 South Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario, Ohio from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service. Agnes will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Lucas, Ohio. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the Spencer family.
