Born October 12, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, Allen was the son of Floyd and Elsie (McIntire) Kisling. A graduate of Crestview High School. Allen worked for ODOT for 34 years and retired as a transportation manager. Allen was a hardworking and faithful man whose life reflected his deep love for his Savior and for others.
Allen was a member of Ontario United Methodist Church, where his faith remained a guiding force throughout his life. Following retirement, he generously gave his time and talents by volunteering with Blue Rose Mission of Richland County, helping families with home projects and serving those in need with compassion and humility.
Known for his caring and generous nature, Allen never met a stranger. He loved sharing stories, making people laugh, and brightening the lives of those around him with his warm personality and kind heart. He was especially proud of his woodworking shop in the basement, where he spent countless hours creating and building with his hands.
Allen had a deep appreciation for the world around him, but above all, he loved the Lord. Though he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, his family finds peace in knowing he is now with his Savior.
He leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, service, and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Kelly) Kisling and Kathy (Rick) Ramsdell; his granddaughters, Taylor (Kolton) Edmondson, Kati Kisling, Kourtney (Torrey) Totman and Tori Tennis; and long-time special friend whose faithful companionship and care meant so much to him through the years. Whether helping by mowing the yard, spending time together, or simply being there, their friendship was a true blessing in Allen’s life, Rick Gee.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Tebara (Blaising) Kisling; his adopted son, Joseph Kisling; and his brother, Robert Kisling.
A graveside service where Allen will be laid to rest at Windsor Cemetery will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 3:30 pm. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the Kisling family.
