She was born on October 23, 1951, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to the late Clifford and Nellie (Rowles) Brewer. Bev loved spending time with family and friends, creating priceless memories. She loved all children, but her grandchildren, nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart. Bev enjoyed the arts and attending musicals and community plays were a wonderful time. She had been bitten by the travel bug and made unique and treasured memories in such places as Florida, Spain, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, Alaska, Hawaii and China. In her quiet time, she could be found curled up with a book. Bev was a member of Ontario VFW Post #7651 where she was President of the Ladies Auxiliary for 20 years. A lifetime of love, joy and memories of a truly special woman will be held by all who knew her.
Bev is survived by her husband, Thomas Mathis; daughter, Megan Mathis (Brian) Williams of Lexington; five grandchildren, Jodie (Jacob) Summers, Ashton Williams, Addison Williams, Jackson Williams and Justin Williams; four great-grandchildren, Enslee, Maverick, Dean and Alaina; a sister, Patricia (Timothy) Secrist of Mansfield; many nieces and nephews; and those who held a special place in her heart, Abigail (Bryant) Burson, Ariella and Audrey Secrist, and Kammy Jo, Nova, and Brantlee Burson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a baby sister, Barbara Ann Brewer; and two brothers, Robert (Diana) Brewer and Randall Brewer.
