He was born on July 5, 1994, in Mansfield, Ohio and was an area resident his entire life. After graduation from Ontario High School, Chad furthered his education earning his building maintenance and welder certifications from Pioneer Career and Technology Center and Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center. He was an exemplary employee of OhioHealth Shelby Hospital working as an electrician where he was always on time and expected everyone else to be also.
Generous and kind, he willingly helped others with various projects and was the family handyman. He enjoyed cooking and macaroni and cheese was his specialty. Chad enjoyed being outdoors and appreciating the beauty of nature. Most of all, he loved his family—including his work family—and will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of being in his circle.
Chad is survived by his mother, Denise Burge Powell; father, Herman Schroemer; two brothers, Ryan Schroemer and Kyle (Kelly) Schroemer; a sister, Amanda (Bryon) Cobb; a close cousin, Derrick Burge; three nieces, Clara Cobb and Avery and Presley Schroemer; many cousins; and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Mark Powell; grandparents, Dewie and Donna Burge; an uncle, Dewie Burge Jr.; and two aunts, Darlene Mann and Deborah McCarron.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm.
