Chandice “Chad” Michael O’Brian, 39, of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on March 16, 1986, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Robert and Joyce (Wagoner) O’Brian.
Chad was a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful man of God. A proud member of the Apostolic Faith Assembly, his deep faith guided every part of his life. He truly loved the Lord and his family with all his heart, leaving a lasting example of kindness, strength, and integrity to everyone who knew him.
Chad was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed guns and shooting. He also had a remarkable singing voice—an amazing tenor—and found great joy in singing at church, where his voice lifted spirits and hearts alike. A lifelong baseball fan, Chad especially loved cheering on the Cincinnati Reds. Those who knew him best often spoke of what a truly great man he was—a dedicated husband, a wonderful father, and a loyal friend.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ashley O’Brian; his cherished children, Gatlin Michael O’Brian, Gideon Allen O’Brian, Blake David Berry, Brenna Renae Berry, Griffin Boyd O’Brian, and another precious child on the way; his parents, Robert and Joyce O’Brian; brother, Brandon O’Brian; father- and mother-in-law, Jeff and Candy Echelbarger; aunt, Karen (David) Burroughs; sister-in-law, Alexis (Brandon) Dobbs; brother-in-law, Jacob (Emily) Echelbarger; sister-in-law, Aliya (Jacob) Hoffman; nephews, Maverick Lee Dobbs, Remington Lucas Dobbs, and Remington Michael Hoffman; his honorary aunt, Renea Gonzalez; and numerous cousins and extended family members who loved him dearly.
