Daniel Joseph Kohlrieser

He was born June 27, 1946, in Lima, Ohio, to Marie C. (Schlagbaum) and Virgil H. Kohlrieser, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Kohlrieser.

He is survived by his life partner of 23 years, Marilyn Gibson; two sons, Todd (Terri) Kohlrieser of Lima, Ohio and Jarid (Jodie) Kohlrieser of Wapakoneta, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jackson, Abigail, Guy, and Seirs; and great-grandson, Ezra.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, actively serving from 1966-1970. He later retired from Sprint Telephone Service Company. After retirement, he worked at Kroger in Mansfield where he met so many great friends. He was an avid racing fan of anything on four wheels and loved music and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Daniel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Friends and family can pay their respects on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park.
