He was born March 29, 1947, to Jack and Helen (Pack) Cline in Mansfield, Ohio. Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, a period of service he carried with great pride throughout his life.
Following his military service, Jerry retired from General Motors after many years of dedicated employment. He was a proud member of AMVETS and served on the Board of Directors, remaining active in supporting fellow veterans.
Jerry was also a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in Galion, where his faith and community were an important part of his life.
He is survived by his two daughters; his siblings, Sylvia (Todd) Spieles, Eppie (Steve) Musick, Roberta “Bobbie” Cline, Herb Cline, Ricky (Evelyn) Cline, and John Cline; brother-in-law, Johnny Thompson; his grandchildren; and many beloved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his daughters; siblings, Rose Thompson and Diana (Leigh) Jackson; and in-law, Susan Cline.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at 100 South Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario, Ohio. Funeral services with Military Honors will follow at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jason Wilson will officiate.
Jerry will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park.
