Joan was born on January 27, 1937, in Mansfield, Ohio. Joan saw the love of her life at a high school football game, and a mutual friend introduced them. Joan and Richard married on April 2, 1955, and were blessed with 66 wonderful years of marriage together. They were blessed with three amazing sons.
Joan was employed at Lazarus for many years and then worked as a receptionist at Dr. Rafael Belliard’s office, this was more than a job to her but became a lifelong friendship. An active mom, Joan was a Cub Scout “Mom” and was “mom” to many of her sons’ friends. Over the years, Wednesdays were spent laughing, sharing stories and making memories with the Hagerman’s, Janice Smith and Margie West, and they were known as the “Golden Girls”.
Richard and Joan loved traveling together and shared many fond memories of trips to Lake Tahoe, Aruba, and Florida. Joan was an Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals fan. She enjoyed the quiet time mowing her yard and keeping it in pristine condition.
Joan leaves behind her sons, Greg “Bones” (Nance) Morrow and Doug Morrow; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Joan Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walton C. and Patricia (Chivas) Marshall; the love of her life and husband who passed on November 5, 2021, Richard B. Morrow; her son who passed of cancer, Paul Morrow; her grandson, Dustin Morrow; and two half-brothers.
A special thank you to Denny and Janie Walters. They were an absolute godsend to Joan and their friendship was irreplaceable.
