He was born on May 20, 1962, in Parma, Ohio, to Willard and Frances (Doleys) Hamric. He graduated from Parma Senior High School in 1980 where he was a hockey player. On November 18, 1995, he married Renee M. Toomey, and they shared a wonderful life together. Family was everything to John and his pride and joy were his two children, Ashley and John. His pets held a special place in his heart.
He was an automotive Sales Manager for many years and also worked at Sherwin Williams. Since November 2007 he was employed as a Sales Representative at Kinsey & Donian Marketing. John enjoyed sports and volunteered many hours to the Lexington Schools football and cheerleading activities. He was very active with Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course working in various capacities. While spending time with his family was his most favorite time, he thoroughly enjoyed camping, tinkering in his garage, and relaxing by the pool.
John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Renee Hamric; two children, John Hamric Jr., and Ashley Hamric; a brother, Vern (Sue) Hamric; a sister, Ruth (Tom) Lock; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and many beloved pets.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
