Joylene (Kareff) Kirsh, 64, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 27, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield. She was born on July 29, 1961, in Mansfield to Robert Milo Kareff and Loretta Ella (Dosier) Scarbrough.
She graduated with an associate’s degree from North Central State College and a bachelor’s degree from Ashland University.
Joylene retired from the Area Agency on Aging, and had also worked at Richland Correctional Institution, Tappan and Scotty’s Tavern.
She enjoyed riding her Harleys as a member of the Harley Owners Group, where she served as an officer. Attending motorcycle races was one of her favorite pastimes. She also loved doing crafts and created many artworks using crayons and colored pencils. Gardening, tending to her flowers, caring for her many pets, and collecting gnomes were among the hobbies that brought her the most joy.
Joylene is survived by her husband of 36 years, Kevin Kirsh; mother, Loretta Scarbrough; brother, Burt (Cheryl) Kareff; sister, Renee Symsick; father-in-law, Lee Kirsh; sister-in-law, Kelley (Nick) Caporini; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews; and many friends, past and present.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kareff; mother-in-law, Reta Kirsh; and stepfather, Lou Scarbrough.
