Mary Agnes Russo, lovingly known as Polly, age 87, was called home to the Lord on July 26, 2026. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and faithful servant of Christ, Polly entered into eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 27, 1939, in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Paul and Florence (Milstead) Schultheis.
In 1966, Polly was united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony to Francis “Frank” J. Russo. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to their faith and dedication to one another until Frank’s passing on July 1, 2014.
Polly and Frank moved 7 times in their first 11 years of marriage and made their eventual permanent home in Mansfield, Ohio, in 1985, where they became active and devout parishioners of St. Peter Catholic Church. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife and mother, always nurturing her family. She worked as a dental hygienist, church secretary, office staff at Mansfield Internists, and finally, the secretary to the Mansfield Lahm Airport Manager, before retiring at the age of 79.
Throughout her life, Polly cherished every moment spent in the company of her family, friends and loved ones. The true pride and light of her life were her three granddaughters, whom she loved beyond measure.
Polly is survived by her loving daughter, Bibianne, and her husband, Doug Galuzny; her three treasured granddaughters, Clare Marie, Ana Therese, and Angelina Rose; her sister, Dottie Durant; her brother, Stanley Schultheis; her nephew, Michael (Shelley) Schultheis; her niece, Beth D’Antonio; her niece, Heidi (Rich) McCoy; her niece, Abigail (Chris) Zimmerman; and several great nieces and great nephews. She is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Frank; her parents, Paul and Florence; her brother, Kenneth and sister in law Geneva ; her sister, Sandy (Sr. Mary Lina); her brother-in-law, Thomas Durant; and her niece, Julie (Steve) McGlade.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Polly’s name to the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN). A devout Catholic, Polly was a daily viewer of the Holy Mass and found great spiritual comfort and joy in the network's programming.
