Norman James Anton, 89 years old, formerly of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on June 10, 2024 at Brethren Care Village, Ashland. He was born in Lefor, North Dakota, on February 28, 1935 to the late Theresa (Focht) and Jacob Anton.
Norm was always very proud and loved that he was raised on a farm in North Dakota. He was also so proud and so in love with his loving and devoted wife, Marlene. Norm was never afraid to tell or show his children or grandchildren how much he loved them.

He could build and repair anything and if Norm worked on it, the project was done right or not at all. He loved helping family and anyone that asked for help. Norm loved cars, tractors or anything with wheels. He had horses and loved riding horses.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marlene (Simon) Anton; three daughters, Sheryl Roberts, Connie DeVault, Lori (Rick) Ackerman; one son, Gregg (Lisa) Anton; ten grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Roberts, Christopher Roberts, Audrey DeVault, Colton Ackerman, Hunter (Emily) Ackerman, Joshua (Rachel) Anton, Jessica (Allen) Jackson, Jerrard (Kristin) Tucker, Alicia Kay and Nick (Karoline) Auchard; and fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond (Virginia) Anton; and many nieces and nephews.
