She was born March 15, 1944, in Mount Blanchard, Ohio, to the late Clyde and Reva (Eatherton) Patterson. She was a born caregiver, taking care of her family for many years, worked as a nurse aide at The Good Shepherd and as a bus driver for Richland Newhope. Pat was a member or Ridgeway Church of God for many years.
While living in Florida, she found joy in walking, swimming and especially biking. The beach was one of her favorite destinations. Pat adored and loved her grandchildren deeply. Every moment spent in their company was special for her and she cherished the memories they made. Pat had a smile that everyone will remember—she smiled with her whole face and brightened the mood simply with that smile. Loving and caring, Pat will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Pat is survived by a son, Kevin (Jenifer) Walter; daughter, Deborah (Steve) Heydinger; seven grandchildren, Kayla (Jon) Breeden, Kyle (Samantha) Heydinger, Kaitlyn (Noah) Holzapfel, Tyler Walter, Kaia (Fabian) Ortega, Kami and Matthew Heydinger; four great-grandchildren, Karson and Ava Heydinger and Elena and Aiden Ortega; three sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Eugene Walter; and a daughter, Dawn Walter.
A private family burial will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park.
