Born on April 30, 1963, to Harold “Mickey” and Margaret “Peggy” (Reames) Kyff. Tom grew up with a deep love of all sports. Whether playing, coaching, or cheering from the sidelines, the game was always in his heart. That passion stayed with him throughout his life and was something he shared with his family and friends.
He graduated from Lexington High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business from The Ohio University. Tom built a successful career in sales, where his natural warmth, humor, and ability to connect with people truly shined. His dedication and leadership eventually led him to become a corporate sales trainer — a role he cherished, as it allowed him to mentor and inspire others. Through his work, he shared not only his knowledge but also encouraged countless colleagues to believe in themselves and reach their goals.
In 1985, Tom married the love of his life, Susie Jilek, and together they shared 40 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless SUPERFANTASTIC excellent adventures. His greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted father to Brittani Kyff-Robinson, Alyssa Kyff-Villalobos (Wil), Jordan Kyff (Alexis Mann) and proud grandfather to Nathan Robinson. He was a steady presence, always there when needed — offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. His values, wisdom, and gentle strength shaped his children’s lives in countless ways and will continue to guide them always. Tom embraced the role of grandfather with great joy and pride. His grandson, Nathan, brought a new light into his life, and the time they spent together was filled with warmth, playfulness, and deep affection.
Tom is also survived by his mother, Margaret “Peggy” Kyff; brother, Dave Kyff; sister, Judy Stanton (Brad); and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Mickey” Kyff.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Ashland Samaritan Hospital, the hospice team, and all family and friends for their unwavering kindness, compassion, and support throughout his journey with Alzheimer's. Your care and love meant so much to him—and to all of us.
