Tressie Mae Shepherd Henderson

She was born May 19, 1941, in Salyersville, Kentucky up Licking River. Tressie’s passions included walking in the evening and keeping the perfect house which presented like a model home on any occasion. In her senior years, she kept a sharp mind by doing word puzzles and doing a Bible journal. She became a Christian in her early thirties at first Baptist Church of Shelby and worshiped the Lord with her husband the rest of her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Susie Shepherd; two brothers, Ronnie, Dan and sister, Margaret.

She is survived by her three children, Deborah Buckingham, Fred Henderson Jr., and Kerry Henderson; her four grandchildren, Greyson Buckingham, Julia Buckingham, Tara Kurtz and Frederick Henderson III.; her five great grandkids; and six siblings living, Sarah, Larry, Junior, Charlotte, George and David.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Life Celebration Reception Center, 129 S. Main St. Mansfield, Ohio 44902. A luncheon will follow the service. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio
