Born on May 3, 1971, in Providence, Rhode Island, Adam later moved to Florida, where he graduated from Deltona High School. He went on to build a life filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion to his family, his passions, and the many lives he touched.
On September 9, 1995, Adam married the love of his life, Heidi K. Deavellar. Their nearly 30-year marriage was a shining example of true love—one built on laughter, partnership, and unwavering devotion. Anyone who knew them could see and feel the bond they shared; it was undeniable, inspiring, and filled with joy. They were not just husband and wife but soulmates, best friends, and each other’s greatest supporters.
Adam dedicated over 34 years of his life as a Culinary Imagineer at Walt Disney, where he brought his passion for cooking to life. To him, cooking was more than just preparing meals—it was about creating experiences, sharing his creativity, and bringing people together. His work ethic, dedication, and love for his craft left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
More than just a talented chef, Adam was a mentor to many. He had a gift for guiding and inspiring those around him, always willing to share his knowledge, lend a helping hand, and encourage others to reach their full potential. Whether it was a young chef learning the ropes, a colleague seeking advice, or a friend needing support, Adam had a way of making people believe in themselves. His patience, wisdom, and generosity made him not only a respected professional but also a beloved teacher and role model.
Beyond his career, Adam had a deep passion for family, cooking, fishing, and wrestling. Fishing, in particular, was his escape, his peace, his way of connecting with the world around him. Whether he was casting a line at sunrise or sharing an ever-growing fishing tale, it was in those moments that he felt most at home. His love for wrestling was another passion that brought him joy, giving him a chance to cheer, celebrate, and be part of something he truly enjoyed.
Above all else, Adam was a family man. His greatest joy came from the love he shared with those closest to him.
Adam is survived by his loving wife, Heidi K. Deavellar; his children, Paula and Emily; his mother, Judy Deavellar; his brother, Robert Deavellar; and his beloved grandchildren, Bryson and Madison. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless other family members who cherished him dearly.
Adam’s passing is an immeasurable loss, and his absence will be deeply felt. Yet, his legacy will live on in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family, friends, and those he mentored will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Though Adam may no longer walk beside us, his spirit remains forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May the waters always be calm, the fish always biting, and his laughter echo in our hearts for years to come.
Rest in peace, Adam. You will always be loved, honored, and never forgotten.
