Alexander Matthew Ehrecke, age 25, of Deltona, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1997 in Winter Park, FL. Alex received his Associate of Science in Music Production Technology from Daytona State College in 2018. He worked as a landscaper for JDC Landscaping in Deltona, FL.
Alex enjoyed music and played in multiple bands. He loved playing the bass, electric, or acoustic guitar. He enjoyed spending time in nature whether it was walking the trails, hiking, or swimming in the springs. He loved to challenge himself by reading books on philosophy or spiritual concepts. He questioned in a respectful way because it was important to Alex to say that if he believed in something he wanted to be able to communicate why he believed it. He was a huge animal lover, which influenced his choice to live the vegan lifestyle. Most importantly, Alex had a big heart and was always looking to help people or 4 legged friends. He loved spending time with our pups, many times letting one of them sleep on his bed with him. He touched so many lives, leaving many lasting memories along the way.
Alex was a loving son to Brandi (Ehrecke) Marrero and Anthony Marrero. Brother to Christina, Ana, and Ariana Marrero. Grandson to Joyce Ehrecke and the Late Gerald Ehrecke of Longwood, FL, Ana Porrata and the Late Hector Porrata of Deltona, FL. Nephew to Jennifer Ehrecke, the Late Peter Ehrecke, Andrew Ehrecke, Cindy Ehrecke and John Poole, Edgar and Mary Marrero, Ronald Porrata, and the Late Hector Jr. Porrata. Cousin to Peter Ehrecke II, the Late Phillip Ehrecke, Jessica Ehrecke, Connor Poole, Brittni Hallam, Ashley and James Brown, Kevin Zimmerman, and Brianna Porrata.
Flowers are welcome. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Florida State Park Foundation, Sea Shepherd, or any animal rehabilitation facility.
