Ana Celia Puig, 94, of Deltona, FL, passed away on July 22, 2018. She is survived by her loving family. Viewing will be Thursday, July 26 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 27 at 10am.
A memory from Yvonne:
Ana was a very spiritual, insightful, and giving person. She was the common glue connecting family as they spread out in various states and areas. She was the link in knowing everyone's whereabouts and news.
Her ability to remember and recall dates and birthdays is amazing. She was Manolin's original GPS.
She loved the ocean and its waves. She was fearless in saving me and Edwin as undertows would drag us in as children.
She was protective, yet firm. Making sure everyone ate before going out to play. Many times Manny would finish my food without her knowing so, I too, could go out.
She loved to take long walks, explore new areas and pushed on even when tired, always strong and determined until the end.
She was a mother, a wife, a sister, a grandmother, an aunt, and a friend to many. She opened her home as family came from Puerto Rico facilitating the settling in process in their new place.
Her role as a Godmother was one she mastered to perfection. She nurtured me, had a huge part in raising me and was always there long before my mom left this earth. She comforted her sister when my mom died, giving my grandmom another reason to live on.
Her legacy will live on through her family, friends, and all who loved her. She was like being touched by an angel. She will be forever missed but always housed in our hearts and endless fond memories.
