Anderson entered the U.S. Navy in 1992, where he proudly served for 26 years. He retired in June 2018 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer and was a Surface Force Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman. He trained and deployed with SEAL Teams, served aboard small ships overseas, was a SERE Instructor, and developed course material as a Curriculum Manager with his Master Training Specialist certification and taught others how to be an Independent Duty Corpsman like he was. He enjoyed cycling, camping, traveling, was a master woodworker that could make anything without drawings, and enjoyed helping family and friends. He was always ready with a joke or story to bring laughter into any situation. He will always be remembered for his kindness, contagious smile, and readiness to help at a moment’s notice.
