Andres Rivera Sanchez, age 74, passed away on July 29, 2015 at Florida Hospital Orlando. Originally from Chicago, Andres was a bus driver for Chicago Public Transportation. In 2013, he moved to Florida. Some of his greatest joys in life were playing guitar, fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family.
Andres is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Lydia Santiago, his sons, Alfredo Rivera, Armando Rivera, Andres Rivera and Andres Rivera II; his daughters, Margaret Rivera and Jessica Rivera, his step-children, Yomarie Cruz, Jose R. Cruz and Xavier Cruz. fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; his brother, Efrain Rivera; his sisters, Hilda Rivas and Rosa Rivera Sanchez. He is also survived by Ivette Rivas, Benj Rivas, Jr. and Robert Rivas along with several other nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 5 pm to 7 pm concluding with prayers from Reverend Hector Maldonado.
