He was born on Feb 28, 1932 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Ortiz and Barbara Sierra.
The introvert in a Hawaiian shirt built a long list of accomplishments: Retired US Air Force Captain, Professor from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) - Cayey, attorney, and author. His roles in the UPR included: Ex-Chairman of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and adviser in University Planning and Development to the President of the University of Puerto Rico, Central Administration. As a professor he primarily taught Neurophysiology, and Neuropharmacology. His area of specialization as an attorney included medico-legal litigation and mediation. His special interests and passion included the development of the Neurophilosophy of Consciousness Brain Dynamics and publication of multiple volumes of his Biopsychosocial (BPS) Model. His interests also included neurophysiology, neuropharmacology of behavior. He was a published author of multiple textbooks, monographies, and novels. Between times, he enjoyed travel and fraternizing at the VFW and Moose lodge.
Dr. Angell O. Sierra, Esq. was preceded in death by his wife Judith A. Sheffer, and sons John A. De La Sierra and Angel L. De la Sierra Jr.
He is survived by his son Daniel G. De La Sierra, and daughters Barbara G. De La Sierra and Denise R. De La Sierra.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 24, 2021 starting at noon at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, Florida 32763.
