Anita Eva Richard Benzino

(June 12, 1923 - June 11, 2011)

Benzino, Anita Eva (Richard), age 87 of DeBary, Florida passed away on June 11, 2011. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Walter D. and Marie R. (Allain) Richard. She was raised in Bellingham, MA. Anita was united in marriage to Ralph Benzino on November 15, 1947. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in DeBary.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Kathy (Paul) Potfora of Fruitland Park, FL and Karen Metcalf of DeBary, FL; three grandchildren, Scot (Jaime) Metcalf, Amy (Ty) Chapel and Leslee (Jason) Smith; great-grandchildren, Megan, Mason, Kaily, Kyle, Kaden, Kensey, Kimberlin and Kierstin; several loving nieces and nephews.

Anita was predeceased by her husband, Ralph in 2009, her grandson, Shawn J. Metcalf in 1998 and her siblings, George Richard, Raymond Richard, Louise Fontaine and Becky Marcoux.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, June 17th from 10 am to 11 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, DeBary. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Shawn Joseph Metcalf Scholarship Fund, c/o St Luke’s Lutheran School, 2025 W.
