Alves, Anthony Orlando Anthony Orlando Alves, 90, of Deltona, FL went to be the Lord and his wife, Dorothy on March l6, 2014. “Tony” Alves passed away at his home that he shared with his son’s family, John, Gina and Johnny Alves, in St. Augustine, Florida. Tony was preceded in passing by his wife, Dorothy May. He is survived by two sons, Anthony Michael (Pam) of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and John Joseph (Gina) of St. Augustine, Florida. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Lauren, Anthony, Nicole and Johnny and his niece, Geraldine Cerra (Stephen) and three great-nieces. Tony, originally from New Jersey, was a loving husband of 45 years and an amazing father. He was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge and enjoyed many events there, including Wednesday night pasta and dancing. He also loved watching westerns, going to his grandson’s baseball games and going out to eat dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and Perkins with his friend, Manny. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, 386-775-4260 Thursday, March 20th from 2 - 4 pm and again from 6 - 8 pm. Final services will be held on Friday, March 21st at 10 am at the funeral home with Chaplain David Meyer officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
