Anthony Asaro, age 84, passed away on August 12,2012 at the Daytona Beach Health and Rehab Center. Anthony was a WW II Army veteran, where he received the World War II Victory Medal, as well as the Army of Occupation Medal. Anthony was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, and also loved to do woodworking and enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Josephine,;1 son, Frank Asaro; 3 daughters;,Christine Gross, Ann Marie (Bill) Peters and Catherine See; 2 brothers, Vito (Elvira) Asaro and Joseph (June) Asaro and 2 sisters, Leonarra (Sal) Palmeri and Diana (Burt) Faber; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, August 16th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, FL, PH: 386-775-4260. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 17th at 10:00 am at St. Clare Catholic Church, 2961 Day Road, Deltona with Father Carlos Bedoya officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
