Barbara was retired after over 20 years of service as a L.P.N. , where she had worked in Cental Florida Regional Medical Center, as well as the Sanford Community Center. She attended the First Baptist Church of Orlando, loved crafts, as well as gardening, going to the beach and sewing. She also enjoyed animals and especially loved her grandchildren.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Nick Kenis in 1984. She is survived by her son; Neil (Suzann) Kenis of DeBary, FL; two daughters, Donna Jansky and Laura (Jeremy) Northrup both of Deltona, FL; her 6 loving grandchildren, Nick Jansky, Ryan and Rachel Kenis, Alia, Alyssa and Vincent Northrup.
A gathering of friends will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City 386-775-4260 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. A Celebration of lLfe service will follow at 12:00 pm with Chaplain David Meyer officiating.
