

Benjamin “Benny” Valentín Sierra, 93, of Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Deltona, Florida. Born July 14, 1932, in Manatí, Puerto Rico, Benny proudly served as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War era and later became a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Benny is survived by his daughter Nancy Valentín-Soto, son-in-law Orlando Soto, daughter-in-law Kathleen Valentín, siblings Ángel and Jesús “Chu” Valentín Sierra, nine (9) grandchildren: Jeanette (Frank) Vigorito, Lynette Quiles-Li, Benjamin III “Jami” (Meghan), Haylee (John) Springer, Ashley (Brandon) Bittinger, Anastasia (Ryan) Gerber, Phillip Hernandez, Orlando Jr (Viviana) Soto, and Carla Soto; and eighteen (18) great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Valentín-Caló; his son, Benjamin Valentín Calo; his parents Elvira & Providencio Valentin, his siblings Providencio “Prudy”, Evangelina “Vangie”, and Jorge Valentin; his grandson-in-law, Perry Li; and great-grandson, Francesco “Frankie” Vigorito.
Known for his kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit, Benny will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, on November 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
