

Born in Wild Fork, Alabama. Her parents were the late Alabama (Bama) and Levi Watford. After marrying Lawrence Zumbrun, they resided in Mobile, Alabama for a few years. After the birth of 2 of their children, Candace and Lawrence Jr., they moved to Tachikawa, Japan. They resided at Tachikawa Air Force Base for four years before returning stateside to Dover, Delaware. Their third child, Terri, was born at Dover Air Force Base before moving again. This time the military took them to Wichita Falls, Texas and then finally moved to Deltona, Florida. This became home for the next 60 years. Bettye worked many jobs during her life but was most proud of her medical career, in which she could help people. She was a very devout and proud Christian, being a life long member of the Church of Christ.
Bettye is survived by her 3 children, Candace Crim (Charlie) Sanford, Fl., Lawrence Zumbrun, Jr., Eustis, Fl. and Terri Tosca, Indialantic, Fl. and a sister, Shirley Black of Gardendale, Alabama.
Services will be April 3, 2021 at Deltona Church of Christ. Public viewing/visitation will be 12:00-1:00pm and services will be 1:00-2:00pm with Theyo Elam officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Bettye requested that a donation to the Mount Dora Christian Childrens Home be made instead.
