Carlen G. Lappin, age 89, passed away on June 15, 2014 at his home in Deltona. Carlen was retired from Chrysler Corporation with over 18 years of service and also was employed for over 26 years with Indiana Brass Works. He was a WWII Army veteran, where he served in the Pacific Theater enlisting October 12, 1943 and being discharged December 7, 1945, Carlen was also a member of the Volusia County Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving sons, Ron and Steve Lappin and daughter, Sandy Goodnight; grandchildren. Todd, Marianne, Carol, Jeff, Natalie, Kelly, Tracy and Luke; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Brandon, Ellyn, Tyler, Taylor, Gage, Landon, Reese, Drake, Cory, Kohner, Hudson and Olivia and a great great- grandchild, Declan.
Carlen was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Nial Lappin and 2 twin sons, Larry and Cary Lappin.
