

She was born in Puerto Rico on November 24, 1946. Carmen lived a life centered around faith, family, and service to others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and strength to all who knew her.
Carmen was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Ramón Vélez, on February 18, 1982. Together, they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and faith.
A hardworking and dedicated woman, Carmen spent many years as a cook at Fort Buchanan Army Base, where she took pride in her work and the care she provided through it.
Carmen was a woman of deep faith—a true prayer warrior with a heart of gold. She was a devoted member of her church and an active part of CCD Ministries (Central Cristiana de Dios) in Deltona, where she served faithfully for over 10 years. She was known as the rock of both her family and her church community, always willing to step in, lead, and support others. Her love for God guided her life, and she found great joy in prayer, service, and fellowship.
Above all, Carmen cherished her family. She loved cooking, caring for her loved ones, and spending time together. She especially enjoyed watching Law & Order: SVU, a simple pleasure that brought her comfort and joy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ramón Vélez; her children, Damaris Flores, Christian Feliciano (Justin Datz), Maro, and Ramon Jr.; her grandchildren, Javier, Noelys, and Glenis; and her great-grandchildren, Brian, Jose Noel, Cirito, and Valentina. She is also survived by her sister, Theresa Rivera Rosario, and is remembered by her special friend, Ely, along with many extended family members, church family, and dear friends.
Carmen Martínez will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of faith, love, and unwavering dedication to her family and community will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
