Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Myint, 88, of Orange City died August 7, 2026, at the Halifax Hospice Center. She was born in Concord, New Hampshire on December 18, 1937; daughter of Melvin Whitehouse and Marjorie Bond. Cindy married Jimmy Myint in 1971, and they shared 43 years of marriage. She worked as Engineering support for IBM until her retirement in 1993. Her interests included gaming with her husband and all her friends, and she also loved gardening the yard of her home in Orange City.
Survivors include her daughter, Lorna Saunders, her sister Beverly Garceau, and her sisters-in-law Peggy Win, Betty Pineo and her brother-in-law Hla Win. And many nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Maung Soe Myint, parents, Melvin and Marjorie, her siblings, Pauline Whitehouse, Robert Whitehouse, Roy Whitehouse and Hazel Harding and her Son-in-law, William Saunders.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen and inurnment will take place in Deltona Memorial Gardens later. In lieu of flowers Lorna suggests donations in her honor be made to Dementia Research at alzfdn.com/donate.
