"Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8

Our beloved Dino was born in Puerto Rico, his family soon moved to New York and was raised in NYC where he eventually became a NYC Transit Police officer for 20 years. Shortly after retiring from New York City he relocated his family to Central Florida where he served 10 years for the Seminole County Sheriff Department of Corrections as both an officer and a Sergeant. After retiring from Seminole County he spent time with his wife Teresa in their cabin in Lake Lure, NC before returning to Orange City Florida where he remained with his family until his passing.

Diosdado when translated literally means "God given. He was lovingly referred to by his friends and family as Dino and was truly a gift from God to his wife Teresa of 56 years, his two daughters Dana and Rita and his three grandsons David, Alexander, and Nicholas; He absolutely adored his 2 great granddaughters Isabella and Annabella. His family and 2 dogs were his life.

Dino also had 5 siblings whom he also loved dearly. Wilfredo (deceased), Edgar (deceased), Edna, Arita, and Evelyn. He also loved his parents Pedro Perez and Hinginia Quinones who have both passed.

Dino also loved to fish, shoot targets, shop with his wife and nap with his dog buddies Smokey and Sasha.Dino loved to attend church regularly but recently had been attending virtual services. His family has found some comfort knowing he is with his Savior in heaven.

I remember when he came to Georgia to visit Wilfredo( my father in law). He was so in love with my daughters. He kept telling them about their home in North Carolina and we should go see them their. And he wanted to take my daughter home with them, lol. Even though I didn't get to know him as well as most. He seemed to be a loving, caring man. And I am glad I atleast got to meet him.

Today I am thinking of all of you, Terri, Dana, Rita, and the boys. I am ever so thankful to have known and had so many wonderful memories of Papi Dino. In all the years I have known your family, he always treated me with such kindness and love. He was a sweet gentle man full of so much love for his family and friends that became family. I have no doubt that he will continue to "live" in each of your hearts. May he rest in heaven!
