As the eldest daughter, she held a special place in her family, earning the respect and admiration of her siblings, who affectionately called her Sister Pansy. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she cherished her siblings Carroll, Kensworth, Glenmore, Norma, Merline, and Sharon, while also treasuring the memories of her late siblings Neville, Eric, Kenneth, and Marcia.
Dorette’s love extended well beyond her family. She embraced her friends with the same warmth and generosity she showed her loved ones. Her home was always open, and many who entered were welcomed as if they were family. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, creating lasting friendships with her kindness and genuine interest in others.
In her role as a mother, Dorette, alongside her beloved husband Glennis Williams, raised three children: Raquel, who preceded her in passing, and Ainsley and Kerrick, who continue to carry on her legacy. Dorette also lovingly embraced her niece, Shamir, as her own daughter and took great pride in helping to raise her cherished granddaughter, Ava, who brought endless joy and light into her life.

Her capacity to care for others was boundless, reflecting her deep-seated love and generosity. In partnership with Glennis, she ventured into various businesses, including grocery shops, a hardware store, and a trucking company. Despite the demands of entrepreneurship, she maintained her honesty and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Her culinary skills, especially her renowned pot roast, will be fondly remembered by her family, particularly her nieces and nephews. Above all, Dorette’s unwavering Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her belief in the Lord guided her actions and provided her with strength, comfort, and purpose. She lived out her faith with grace, kindness, and profound love, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to know her.
