Mrs. Hopkins was born on April 5, 1927 in Lumber City, Georgia, the daughter of George and Mary Farmer Carter. She was united in marriage to Elvin "E.B." Hopkins, Sr., whom she had been married to for 66 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orange City, Florida. She loved to read, had a deep faith in God, lived for her family and was very artistic.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Elvin B. "E.B." Hopkins, Sr.; a son, Buddy (Terri) Hopkins, three daughters, Diana Andrews, Marsha Hopkins and Kim (Tony) Johns; two sisters, Margaret McBride and Judy Carter; two brothers, David Carter and Robbie Carter; 8 grandchildren, Christine Neusch, Bryant Love, Michael Hopkins, Christopher Holloway, Tony Johns, Jr., Danyelle Love, Katrina Sergent and Michael Van Epps, Jr.; 13 Great-Grandchildren, Kristin Andrews, Andrew Neusch, Jr., Emily Neusch, Travis Love, Katie Lynn Love, C.J. Duval, Sabriena Reid, Jordan Sergent, Jasmine Johns, Hailey Sergent, Katelynn Johns, Hunter Wooten and Ashley Huffman Johns.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Roxana Jane.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Monday, September 26th at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens in DeLand, Florida.
